Bra straps are for bras as headbands are to heads....

When it comes to the CW hit series, Gossip Girl one thing is true... the fashion cannot be denied. And when it comes to trend-setting headbands, Blair Waldorf played by Leighton Meester is the winner. Each episode Blair wears a more unique headband carefully picked to match each outfit or gown and she does it with class.

But when does a headband become more than a headband? I'll tell you...

When a bra strap becomes a headband...

Another woman's bra strap is not another woman's headband so lets just get that straight. Despite the fact it is a good recycling idea why on earth would I want to make the connection of a bra on my head? So ladies keep your bra straps on your bras. Thanks.

When it is larger than the head of a 3-year-old child...

Le Tour de Force, the English brand known for their unique headpieces, (pieces not bands) have recently teamed up with Little Fashion Gallery, a company who carries top of the line brand name clothing for kids, to design, what they call "mini" versions of their headbands. But apparently they forgot that mini meant "small" because there is nothing petite about them. Let's be honest do you really want your toddler to be mistaken for a present? I mean I would just be worried about my child (if I had any) getting whiplash when they sneezed with one of those things on. Take a look and you be the judge...

What is funny is when you look at these toddlers not a single one of them look too incredibly thrilled to be wearing one of these headpieces.

So yea, when it comes to headbands, keep your bras on, and remember size really does matter.

If turtlenecks are in... Forgive me father for I have sinned... But what is?

I have never liked wearing turtlenecks ever since I was little and my mother would put me in them everyday. I had one in every color to go with every outfit and frankly I felt suffocated. By the time I got to the rightful age of 10 I put my foot down and demanded that every turtleneck I owned be sold at the next garage sale. At one point I even caught one on fire when getting in the bathtub. Accident? Intentional? Either way it was a sign.

So take a look at Justin Bieber trying to rock an oatmeal-colored turtleneck in the latest issue of Vanity Fair. Keyword: trying. But failing. You may have the "Bieber Fever" and be convinced that if you went out and bought one you could be that much closer to being Justin, but let's face it, dressing up your neckline with a turtleneck is not acceptable. Sorry Justin, those hands aren't grabbing you because they want you, they are trying to rip the turtleneck off of you.

However with the weather getting warmer we are looking for ways to dress up our neckline and here are some styles that are more excusable and much less suffocating.

Get the Scoop...

So I've fallen for it. The world of blogging. I have been wanting to start a blog about a topic that interests me. One I could continually have something to write about, something at times is controversial and that I can voice my own opinion about. After many weeks of browsing I was convinced the topic of fashion fit my criteria.

Now you are probably thinking, what is a girl from Dela-WHERE? going to contribute to the fashion world? I am not here to tell you which model wore which designer at the latest fashion show and I am not going to take you through my wardrobe. The idea behind my blog is to take YOUR fashion advice and put my own unique spin on it. Afterall I am allowed to have an opinion aren't I? And let me just start by saying, jeggings should not be worn by certain individuals nor should they be substituted as pants. (Pay attention mainly to the don'ts of wearing jeggings.)

So I am going to be taking the advice that is offered in magazines and other fashion blogs down my own runway in a classy way of course. Spark any kind of interest? Good. Catwalk with me.

Keep it classy,
Elizabeth
