Your prom dress looks like a mullet... No it isn't okay.

Spring is finally here and while there is much to be excited about, girls all over are preparing for one of the most memorable events in their high school careers; prom.

Everyone wants to think they picked the most original prom dress. And that they are going to possibly be in the running for "best dressed", but original does not always have to mean the most provocative or outrageous. There is a classy way to go about anything in life and prom dress shopping isn't an exception.

Let's get started...

What I like to call "The Mullet."
"Business in the front and a party in the back" except the only guest at your party will be you.

Floral patterned prom dresses... Really?

This is not the time or place to be looking like your grandmother's Easter tablecloth. Try to go with something that isn't as bright and a more modern floral pattern.

There is no pole dancing at prom...
Moving on to the provocative picks aka what I like to call trashy. Whenever you see the word "sexy" it pretty much should be like caution tape. Luckily at most schools they require a dress code and some need to be thankful for this.

Little Bo Peep?? Is that you?
There are always the dresses with ruffles but there is a fine line between what is an acceptable level of ruffles and looking like you exploded in them.

Stop stop its burning my eyes!!
We get the fact you want to be noticed, but I don't still want to see the patterns of your dress when I look away.

And the winners of the most awful prom dress winner goes to... Oh wait.. There is a tie...

Keep it classy,
Elizabeth
